AI defenders for Microsoft security · small and mid-size teams
Touch the nest. Meet the swarm.
RedWasp puts a swarm of AI defenders on guard across your Microsoft environment. They lay bait attackers can't resist, work every incident with the most urgent first, and contain threats only inside the limits you set. Machine-speed defense. Human-set rules.
You stay in charge of the nest. You decide what the swarm may do alone. Anything outside your rules comes to you, with the evidence already gathered.
Why now
Valuable data, a small team, and nobody watching at 3 a.m. AI agents make that gap cheap to exploit: one operator can now point dozens of them at dozens of companies at once.
Human-speed defense against machine-speed attackers is a losing trade. RedWasp changes the trade, without handing an AI the keys.
Strength 01 · Bait and decoys
Stolen passwords look normal. Taking the bait never does. The hardest intruder to catch is one using real, valid credentials, so RedWasp lays bait across your environment: things no legitimate person or process ever has a reason to touch. One touch is a high-confidence alarm, and the swarm moves in the same second.
Decoy accounts, credentials and files that look like the keys to payroll. Nobody on your team has a reason to use them. Attackers can't resist them.
Attacker agents read everything they find and act on it. We plant text that only an automated reader would obey, so an attacking swarm exposes itself the moment it takes the bait, and then wastes its time and budget while the swarm closes in.
Once legitimate tools are tuned out, a decoy touch has no innocent explanation, which is why it can safely drive fast, policy-bounded containment.
Strength 02 · Guarded autonomy
RedWasp's AI defenders investigate and recommend, but they cannot authorize themselves to act. Every proposed action has to get past the Response Guard, and the guard answers only to your rules. Deterministic software checks every proposed action against rules you set, checks again just before acting, and a separate identity, one the AI can never use, makes the change.
Paper wasps post guards at the nest entrance. Every arrival is checked, and anything that doesn't belong is stopped before it gets in.
Read-only from day one. See exactly what RedWasp would have done before you grant any permission to act.
Record only, ask a person, or act within limits, set separately for each kind of response.
Text in alerts and logs is untrusted. Anything that looks written to manipulate an AI is screened out before a model reads it, and the incident escalates. Even if something slips through, the AI has no permission to act.
Pause automated response instantly. Investigation continues, your Microsoft tools keep working as normal, and anything already contained stays put until you release it.
Contained one account at a time, an intruder notices and digs in. RedWasp gathers every account, device and address in the attack and contains them together, after one approval.
A flood of fake alerts can't spend your AI budget or make RedWasp lock out your own staff. When alerts surge, it slows down and asks a person.

Step through a synthetic intrusion the way RedWasp handles it.
Disturb a wasp nest and an alarm signal spreads through the colony. One threat, and the whole swarm turns to face it.

The swarm
A wasp colony splits its work: some build, some forage, some guard. Many members, one nest, clear jobs.
Each defender has one job and the narrowest access that does it. They work each incident together, in parallel, within minutes of it arriving. Only one member of the nest can act, and it isn't an AI.
Directs the specialists, joins related incidents into one campaign and writes the assessment. No evidence, no claim.
Is this account behaving like its owner? Reads sign-ins and privileges in Entra.
Reads what actually ran on a device, straight from Defender, and separates attacker tooling from everyday work.
Adds Microsoft's verdicts and worldwide prevalence, mapped to MITRE ATT&CK and ATLAS.
Hunts for machine-paced and swarm activity that no single alert reveals, and raises the alarm if your logging goes quiet.
Places and watches the decoys and AI lures, and tests them every week. One touch, one high-confidence alarm.
Screens out text written to manipulate an AI before any model reads it.
Holds the only permission to act, through its own identity. Your rules, enforced twice.
Engineering validation
Run live against real Microsoft Defender in a simulated customer environment, with synthetic data only.
RedWasp isolated a test workstation through Defender with no person approving, inside the limits set for the test.
An on-call responder approved containment from a Teams card; the device was released automatically when the window closed.
An automated reader acted on a lure built for AI agents and produced a Critical alert naming its source.
Instructions planted in an alert for AI defenders were screened out before any model saw them, and the incident escalated.
The accounts, device and address in one simulated attack were contained together after a single approval.
Logging was switched off in the test environment, and RedWasp raised the alarm.
RedWasp's weekly self-test called its own lure and confirmed the alarm came back.
A burst of fake alerts made RedWasp hand its proposed actions to a person instead of acting on its own.
Internal engineering scenarios with synthetic data. Not a third-party audit, certification, customer testimonial or measured production performance.
Trust center
Everything here can be checked: documents and guardrail documentation on request.
Your incidents, logs and identities are never used to train any AI model, ours or a provider's.
Separated in the application and again in the database. Personal and health information is minimized and redacted before storage and before any model sees it. Sign-in names stay, because investigations need them.
Read access and permission to act live in separate apps you consent to separately. No stored secrets.
Every finding, decision and action is recorded and archived to write-once storage. Export it any time.
Signed releases you can verify for customer-hosted installs. Guardrail documentation on request.
RedWasp checks its own traps and alerting each week, silently, and tells you if anything stops working.
When an attacker is caught at one customer, the others are warned. Only the attacker's network address is shared, never names or incident details, and you can opt out.

Questions
You are, by design. The AI only proposes; deterministic rules you set decide, and anything they don't explicitly allow goes to your on-call through Teams and a page outside your Microsoft tenant, with the evidence waiting in the RedWasp console. If you want people watching too, Partner Watch adds human analysts who review every escalation around the clock.
Wasps are some of nature's fiercest nest defenders: they post guards at the entrance, raise the alarm together and defend as one swarm. RedWasp is built the same way. And despite the red, it isn't a red-team or attack tool: it only defends your own environment.
RedWasp records continuous monitoring, response times and a full audit trail, which you can export to answer the questions insurers commonly ask. A ready-made insurer evidence pack is coming soon. Coverage decisions are always your insurer's.
Only if you choose. Everything starts in shadow mode, recorded but never run. You decide, action by action, whether it asks a person or acts within limits you set, and one switch stops everything.
The AI holds no permission to act. Text in alerts and logs is treated as untrusted and screened before a model reads it, and every proposed action must pass deterministic checks before a separate identity carries it out.
Serious alerts reach Teams without their details, and on-call is also paged outside your Microsoft tenant. The evidence stays in the RedWasp console, so an intruder reading your chat learns nothing and cannot delete the only warning.
Intruders often try to blind defenders first. RedWasp watches for logging going quiet and raises the alarm, and its weekly self-test confirms that its own alerts still arrive.
No. Nothing a RedWasp lure sends runs on, changes or reaches into a visitor's systems. Lures detect the intruder, record what it does and waste its time with data that isn't real, all inside servers we run.
No. Decoys sit where everyday work doesn't go and stay out of everyday workflows. During onboarding we tune out the legitimate tools, like backup and scanning, that could reach them, so a touch means an intruder.
No. RedWasp works on top of the Microsoft security tools you already own and uses their supported APIs for permitted actions. There is nothing new to install on your devices.
Copilot helps the analysts you have. RedWasp works as the security team many organizations don't have: investigating every incident on its own, hunting, setting traps and containing threats within your limits. The right fit depends on your licences and workflow.
RedWasp runs in Microsoft Azure, with your data stored in the United States, isolated per customer, and minimizes and redacts personal and health information before storage and before any AI model sees it. Regulated organizations can run it in their own Azure subscription and choose where it runs.
Usually the same day. An administrator grants read-only consent in Entra, RedWasp maps your environment, and the shadow trial begins with your next incident.
